Our Founder Story
ILTMIMI was founded in 2011 by North London resident Ray Velmi.
As a property developer refurbishing homes across Finchley, Hampstead and Kilburn, Ray repeatedly struggled to find a cost-effective moving and storage service that was genuinely available on demand. Services were either too rigid, unreliable or too expensive for regular needs. He had reliable workers but he didn't have a van.
That's when Ray decided it made sense to buy a Luton Van and create the service he needed: On Demand Moving.
What started with a single van and a 2 reliable workers, quickly became a trusted local operation, growing almost entirely through word of mouth, repeat customers and long-term relationships.
A Local Company Built on Trust
From those early days, ILTMIMI has grown steadily and organically. The business expanded its fleet to 5 colourful Luton Vans & 2 HGVs while remaining proudly independent and founder-led.

International Expansion: London ↔ Dubai
In 2021, ILTMIMI expanded into Dubai- a major milestone in the our brands journey.
This expansion made ILTMIMI the only company in the world to offer a true door-to-door international relocation service on the London–Dubai and Dubai–London corridor, managing the entire process under one roof rather than relying on fragmented third parties. From collection to customs, storage and final delivery, the service was designed to remove complexity from international moves and deliver the same standard of care customers expect locally.
Innovation: Click & Collect Storage
As cities changed, so did customer expectations.
ILTMIMI responded by developing flexible, modern storage solutions- including its increasingly popular Click & Collect Storage service- designed to make self storage in London simpler, more accessible and better suited to urban living.
This focus on innovation led directly to the next chapter.
Introducing MovitStorit
In 2024, the company launched MovitStorit in Dubai- a next-generation, tech-enabled storage brand built around on-demand collection, smart access and modern infrastructure. MovitStorit represents the future of storage: flexible, transparent and designed around how people actually live and work today.

October 2011
First Van. First Job.
Ray Velmi purchases a second hand white Renault Master Luton van for £3,500 and places a simple advert on Gumtree. The very next day, the phone rings for the first job while his trusted Peter & Gabor are still painting on-site. The job is booked, the team is called, and the van goes straight out- marking the first completed move and the true beginning of I Like To Move It Move It.
2013
From Sole Trader to Limited Company
As demand grows through word of mouth and repeat customers, I Like To Move It Move It formally transitions from a sole trader operation into a limited company, laying the foundations for structured growth, compliance and long-term scalability.
2016–2017
Organic Growth Across North London
Fleet expansion begins, service offerings broaden, and the business becomes a recognised local operator across Finchley, Hampstead and surrounding areas.

ILTMIMI joins Checkatrade, reinforcing its reputation for transparency, accountability and customer satisfaction.
